About Us

Your Committee

The committee, with its unwavering commitment and dedication, is consistently going from strength to strength. This is evident in the way the club continues to thrive, attracting new members from the local area and fostering a sense of community.

The committee is not just focused on growth, but also on providing value to its existing members. They are dedicated to offering members a range of entertainment options and facilities that cater to the whole family, ensuring there’s something for everyone throughout the year. In addition, the committee also extends its support to the local community by hiring out the facilities to local charities and other organisations, thereby playing an active role in the community’s development.

The committee highly values your feedback as it helps us to improve and serve you better. If you would like to share your views and suggestions, we would be very grateful. Your input is invaluable to us, and we encourage you to email us with your thoughts and ideas.

The Memorial Garden

Our Memorial Garden, located at the St Leonards & St Ives Ex Services Club, was officially opened in June 2013, amidst a modest yet dignified ceremony. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the Parish Council for their invaluable assistance, and specifically to the Chairman of the Parish Council who had the honour of inaugurating the Garden. We are also grateful to the Reverend Judy Morton for her spiritual contribution in the form of a Blessing and prayer. Special thanks are due to the Parkstone Sea Cadets and Ferndown Air Cadets, whose presence and participation made the ceremony truly memorable.

We must also express our profound gratitude to all the members who generously made donations and dedicated their time and effort to ensure the garden was completed in time for the grand opening day.

The garden is home to two Peace roses, which bloom spectacularly every summer, adding a touch of beauty and tranquillity to the surroundings.

The comfortable seat in the Garden was a kind donation from members Rob and Jenny Lee. The Memorial Stone, a significant feature of the garden, was generously donated by Andy Bishop, who also gifted a flowering cherry tree. Recently, two planters have been added, crafted from horseshoes by ex serviceman Chris Johnson, who is a skilled farrier. These planters have been given pride of place on each side of the seat, further enhancing the aesthetic appeal of our cherished Memorial Garden.
