Maj [Ret’d] Mike Mahon, a seasoned quizmaster, has been at the helm of our monthly quizzes since November 2011, bringing a wealth of knowledge and fun to each event. Each quiz is meticulously crafted and consists of 8 diverse rounds, including a Music Round that tests your auditory memory and a Picture Round that challenges your visual recognition skills. The entire quiz is designed to last for approximately 2 hours, providing an evening filled with entertainment and friendly competition.

In addition to the quiz, we also host a prize draw, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event. This gives all participating teams, regardless of their quiz performance, a chance to win a round of drinks, fostering a sense of camaraderie and inclusivity.

Please note that the maximum number of participants in a team is capped at 6, ensuring a fair and balanced competition for all.

Every year, we dedicate 4 of our quizzes to our Help for Heroes Charity, a cause we hold close to our hearts. The proceeds from these quizzes go directly towards supporting this noble cause. The takings from the remaining quizzes are channelled towards the Club Development Fund, contributing to the continuous improvement and growth of our club.
